The Contracted availability feature allows you to mark specific days (or time intervals) in which you have agreed with your employees to work. This can be used to show specific scheduling guidelines or to have as extra-contractual information, that may influence the schedule.
It will now be easy to see who is available, and what between which times they are available.
You can add or edit an employee’s Contracted availability from People > Employees. Click on the name of the employee, open up the quick edit window ✏️, and then click “Add”, under Contracted availability.
This will open up the Contracted availability window:
You can now select the days and specific times during those days, for which the employee needs to be available to work.
In this example, let' say an employee should work on:
- Mondays and Tuesdays, from 9 am to 5 pm,
- Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10 am to 6pm,
- and then Fridays from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
You will also need to set which date this availability should be valid from (this could be the hiring date of the employee).
You can then move to the Schedule, to create a Shift. When you will have a new Shift that the employee could work, a green contract symbol will show next to the employee name. This is to let you know that the employee is contracted to work during that time. You can hover over this symbol to see the exact times that the employee is contracted for.
