Here are the latest product updates that will help you get the most out of your Planday workspace.

Onboarding new employees into Planday has just become more seamless. In Planday, the options to Invite to Planday and Send welcome message are now optional checkboxes integrated into the employee create form. Feel free to choose what fits your onboarding flow best and empower yourself with more flexibility and control right from the start.

Managers can also assign Access Levels (permissions) directly while creating a new employee in Planday. These improvements streamline the onboarding process, letting managers and business owners to delegate tasks more efficiently and manage their workspace with ease.

You will find these new options by navigating to the People tab in the main menu, then selecting Employees and clicking Create employee. Fill in the details, choose whether to send an invite or welcome message, and assign access levels - all in one streamlined flow.

The enhanced Employee Retention Dashboard now provides a detailed view of key retention metrics, including deactivation dates and rates, with the flexibility to filter by each individual department or view data across the entire organisation.

The dashboard provides the number of employees at both the start and end of each period, offering a clearer picture of retention trends for you to make more informed decisions and improve retention strategies, reduce turnover, and maybe learn a life lesson or two along the way.

Managing leave requests just got easier. With the latest update to the Planday app, managers and admins with the right permissions can review and respond to time-off requests directly from their mobile device - anytime, anywhere.

If a shift is already scheduled during the requested time off, you’ll be prompted to update, delete, or find cover.
