What is Support access?

Support access or consent-based access allows you to explicitly approve temporary access for teams in Planday to access to your Planday workspace. This access is typically used for support, onboarding, or troubleshooting purposes and is limited to a fixed time period.

Unlike the previous access model, Planday staff will only be able to access your account after you have given consent, and only for as long as that consent is active.

How to enable Support access

To get help from a Planday support or onboarding team:

  1. Log in to Planday Web.

  2. Hover over your name in the top-right corner > Enable support access.

  3. Read the details about what access you’re granting.

  4. Press Yes to allow access.

Once confirmed, Planday staff can access your workspace for 7 days. This allows the Planday team to:

  • See your exact workspace setup

  • Diagnose issues faster

  • Resolve specific issues such as unlocking payroll periods

  • Provide guidance tailored to your account

Access remains time-limited and fully controlled by you. You can revoke access anytime using the same steps.

Pro tip:

If you’re planning to contact Planday support, it’s recommended to grant access to your workspace in advance. You can do this before starting a conversation or while waiting for a support agent to join.
Only Administrators can give this consent, so if you don’t have admin access, ask an admin to enable support access.
