Punch Clock automatic punch-out
The automatic punch-out doesn’t work. Why?
The automatic punch-out doesn’t work. Why?
If the automatic punch out hasn’t worked, try these troubleshooting steps:
Check the “Time” and “Start date” fields. The system always checks for punch-outs from the previous day. For example, to punch out shifts from October 28, set the Time to just after midnight, with the Start date (1.) set to October 29. Setting an earlier time, like 11:00 PM on October 28, will instead punch out shifts from October 27. See below how the setup would look like.
Ensure the “Repeat week” option is selected in the scheduled job’s setup. This ensures the job will run every week.
Confirm the relevant departments are selected for the scheduled job.

Is there a way to ensure that users with shifts extending past midnight aren't affected by the automatic punch out at 00.00?
Is there a way to ensure that users with shifts extending past midnight aren't affected by the automatic punch out at 00.00?
To address this, you can set a minimum length of time that employees must work after punching in, configured in the scheduled job’s setup.
For example, you might require that employees work at least 3 hours before the system automatically punches them out.

As of today, it’s not possible to add more fields than those suggested in the scheduled job’s setup. For example, it won’t be possible to add custom fields added to the employee form setup.
I have the error message “Upload failed. Reason: Attempted to divide by zero” in the job’s log. Why?

If the scheduled job is sending payroll costs along with the schedule info, it could be due to an employee’s wage, salary or working hours set up wrong.
Hours per month set to 0 in an employee’s profile > Employment tab > Salary.
Hourly wage and salary set to 0.
To find out what employees to check:
You can look at the scheduled job’s logs to see when the job stopped working.
Then, go to People > Employees > Tools > Export data.
Generate an employee changes report to review any edits to employees' salary or wage from the date the issue began.
