Why this matters
Only employees with a Planday profile can be added to your schedule.
You can invite them now or later but they need a profile before they can work shifts in Planday.
Create your first employee
Go to Planday web > People > Employees > Create employees
Enter First name and Surname
Add their Email address. This will also be their Username
Tip: You can invite the employee and send the welcome message by selecting Invite to Planday and, optionally, Send welcome message. You can also do this at a later point.
Select the employee type (e.g full time, part-time etc) under Employee type. Under Departments, click Department, click Add > Select the department. You can do the same under Employee groups. If needed, choose the Access level required for this employee. If the employee shouldn’t have managerial permissions, you can skip this step.
You can fill in extra details (contact info, wages, etc.) and send their invitation later.
