🎯 If you have not already set up the integration, see Mews integration – Setup guide with Planday.

Revenue import details

Import timings

The integration retrieves revenue data in five-minute increments, beginning at the chosen hour within 24 hours. You can also start the import process immediately by clicking the Import data button.

Include or exclude tax values

You can import gross revenue value that includes tax from mapped locations or net value without tax. There is no option to import tax levels or tax values separately.

Revenue value

The imported revenue is the sum of revenue values of all active accounting categories mapped to the revenue unit from successfully connected Mews location accounts.

If any location connection does not work, revenue from the locations will not count in the revenue imported into the mapped revenue units.

Please note:
Note that incomplete revenue values will overwrite correct values imported in the past if a business connection stops working and if you have imported values for several days in the past.

See imported revenue on the schedule

Open the Schedule page on Planday. Press the View settings button, and turn on the Revenue toggle to reveal revenue values at the bottom of each scheduled day.

Revenue imported for a given revenue unit is displayed in the Daily revenue pop-up.

Please take note that the Notes field includes the timestamp of the revenue import and a label containing its source. The timestamp displayed is in the UTC zone and is not adjusted based on your Planday organisation's location.

Tip:

To see an overview of your revenue history, go to Reports > Revenue and choose the time range.

FAQs and troubleshooting

A location account needs to be reconnected

The connection to your account might have trouble getting authorised; you must reconnect it in such cases. You will see a notification about this in the Connect business section, where the account with this issue will be marked with an orange 🟠 status indicator. Simply click on the business account and re-authorise it with the correct authentication token.

Revenue is not imported

  1. Ensure that there is at least one scheduled shift for each day where you want revenue to be imported.

  2. Ensure that the Enter daily revenue checkbox, located in Settings > Revenue, is selected for mapped revenue units.

  3. Verify that Mews businesses are mapped to revenue units of relevant departments in Planday.

When an account needs to be reconnected, its revenue will not be imported into Planday, meaning that you might notice unusually low revenue shown on the Schedule. To remedy this, after reconnecting the account, you can increase the number of imported days to overwrite days showing partial revenue figures.

Revenue imported to Planday does not match the value reported by Mews

Check Payments Status
The integration calculates revenue based only on payments marked as Complete. Since payments can take up to a few days to be processed, it is possible that imported revenue will not correspond to values shown in Mews, or that the value shown in the schedule will change during the next import.

Check Connection Status
Please check that all connections are in Connected 🟢 status. If a connection is not green, then payments related to that location will not be imported.

How do I deactivate the integration?

To stop importing revenue, you must remove all connected businesses. Hover over the connected businesses and press the Delete icon. When all connections are removed, press the Deactivate button. This will stop revenue imports. Revenue previously imported into Planday will not be deleted and will stay in Planday.
