How to change personal notifications in Planday

See what Planday notifications you get from your manager and find out how to enable or disable them using the app or Planday web.

After updating to the latest version of the Planday app, enable in-app notifications when you first open it. If notifications aren’t coming through, go to your device’s notification settings to grant full access to Planday, or delete and reinstall the app to reset notifications.

Change notifications from Planday app

To turn off notifications from the app, go to Profile > Notifications. Here you will find the following options to enable or turn off:

  • Punch-in reminder — Get an alert on your phone to punch in before your shift starts.

  • Punch-out reminder — Get an alert on your phone to punch out before your shift ends.

  • Open shifts — Get push notifications when there are open shifts available for you to apply.

Live shift activity

Starting from Planday app 10.3, you can view your ongoing shift from the lock screen of your mobile phone when clocked in for a shift. This widget remains on the phone until you clock out from your shift and is enabled by default.

Change notifications from Planday on the web

To adjust your email notifications while using Planday on the web, follow these steps:

  • Click on your profile located in the top-right corner of the screen.

  • Select Edit from the dropdown menu.

  • In the User Information section, toggle the "Email notifications" checkbox on or off as desired.

  • Click the Save button to confirm your changes.
