Timesheets and breaks
Why are automatic break rules disabled and manual breaks added when I approve shifts from Timesheets?
Why are automatic break rules disabled and manual breaks added when I approve shifts from Timesheets?
When a shift is approved in Timesheets, the automatic break rule applied to the shift is disabled, and the break is removed. A manual break is then added to replace the automatic break. This ensures that break times are maintained and prevents potential future changes applied to the break rule settings from affecting previously approved shifts.
Additionally, this does not affect the payroll export as the manual breaks are copies of the automatic breaks and are included in the payroll calculations.
