At Planday, we constantly improve features to make shift work more human. We want to keep you up-to-date on what's new in our product. Explore the overview of recent updates we've released and those that are coming soon.

Some of these features may be limited to select Planday organisations or regions, with full availability gradually extending to all. If you want to try something early, contact our support team.


Web:

Schedule page: Easier drag and drop of employees from different groups

In April, we made it easier to assign open shifts to employees belonging to different employee groups. This feature is now available to all customers.

Now you can select the employee group directly on the shift without getting an error. If the employee belongs to multiple groups, you can pick the right one from a dropdown and assign the shift.

This update gives you more flexibility in scheduling, and make your rota planning quicker.


More Revenue Report export options

Get revenue and staff cost insights more easily to make better informed decisions!

The Revenue export feature now offers more options to customise your reports:

  • Export data by day, week or month

  • Create a report by units or date ranges.

  • Select which columns to include.

  • New columns like payroll % target and target difference are now exportable.

This feature is live for all customers with access to Reports > Revenue > Export data.

Punch Clock reminder notifications and lock screen activity

No more forgetting to clock in and out of a shift!

In May, we launched Punch Clock reminders and live shift activity widgets to reduce missed punch-ins to all app users. This feature is now available to all customers.

Planday app users will get reminders 15 minutes before their shift starts and ends to punch in and out. A lock screen widget on compatible smartphone devices also shows shift duration at a glance.

If your employees often forget to clock in and out, remind them to use this feature, which is enabled by default. To turn off reminders, go to Profile > Notifications in the app.


New "Your schedule" view in the app

Have better control and overview of your working schedule with the new Your schedule view (previously called Your shifts). This update provides your employees with a central place in Planday to view their work and any open shifts they are eligible to work.

The new filters option allows employees to view their availability, past shifts, and open shifts in selected employee groups, allowing them to pick up the shifts that suit them.
