By pressing More in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen in the Planday app, your employees will find the option Your hours.
The new overview of the Your hours page in the Planday app allows your employees to see their scheduled, worked (punched) and approved hours, as well as their estimated earnings for the chosen pay period.
Note: The Your hours page is now the unified home for both hours and earnings.
This feature enables your employees to:
See the difference between the hours they actually worked (punched) and the hours that were actually approved.
Have more visibility and transparency regarding their pay and understand whether they are on track to hit their expected pay.
Be flexible with the pay periods and dates they would like to view.
How your employees see their scheduled, worked and approved hours
Your employees can get an overview and total of their scheduled, worked (punched) and approved hours and shifts.
Follow these simple steps:
Tap on More in the Planday app.
Select Your hours.
Select the Hours toggle.
Pay period
The customisable date range selector for the pay period sits at the top of the page.
Default period: The default pay period is the one set by the admin under Planday web > Settings > Payroll > General > Start date.
Custom period: Employees can select a custom start and end date, or select the default (current pay period).
Note: If a pay period has been set under Pay, the Hours view will match the selected period.
Total scheduled hours
In the total scheduled hours section, your employees can see the following:
Total scheduled hours: Shows the number of hours scheduled in the chosen pay period.
Hours difference: Shows the comparison of scheduled hours to the previous pay period.
See open shifts: Takes employees to the shift overview of the current month, but with open shifts visible.
Your schedule: Takes employees to the shift overview on the month that corresponds to the dates selected, or the month their start date is in.
Note: The total scheduled hours value is subject to adjustments in the employee’s timesheets.
Your Hours
Approved hours : Hours formally approved by a manager.
Hours worked: Hours actually clocked via the Punch Clock, showing actual punch-in and punch-out times.
Scheduled hours: Total hours scheduled for the period.
Note: Employees who have contract rules greater than zero hours applied to their employee profiles can also view their contracted hours for this period.
How your employees see their estimated earnings
Your employees can get an overview and total of their estimated earnings.
How to enable estimated earnings for your employees
Important: The Pay toggle is off by default for existing customers. Only users with the Administrator access level are able to manually enable this function by going to Planday web > Settings > Your organisation > Employee app settings, before it is available for employees in the Planday app.
Follow these simple steps:
Go to Planday web > Settings > Your organisation > Employee app settings and enable the option "Estimated earnings".
Tap on More in the Planday app.
Select Your hours.
Select the Pay toggle.
Pay period

Total estimated pay: Shows the estimated pre-tax earnings in the chosen pay period. This value accounts for different shift types and pay rates, where applicable.

See open shifts: Takes employees to the shift overview of the current month, but with open shifts visible.
Your schedule: Takes employees to the shift overview on the month that corresponds to the dates selected, or the month their start date is in.
Note: The total estimated pay value is subject to adjustments in the employee’s timesheets.
